Otley Folk Festival

16-18 September 2016 will be the weekend of the TWENTY FIFTH Otley Black Sheep Folk Festival!
Some of us have been involved since 18 months before the first festival and so it seems fitting to invite a few of those original weedy first years back for this one, Stanley Accrington was one of those nervous few.
He has now been performing for thirty six years so obviously was only eleven when he first took the stage at Otley. Robin Garside was also there with duo partner Paul Gough, local songmeister Dave Vermond was there, Malcolm Devereux  sang with Amanda Bailey and Last Orders and Steve Fairholme played with Tanglefoot and The Freddy Alva Band. Our list of local folk stars has grown massively and hopefully they will all be on duty for our twenty fifth bash. Other artists on this years list are... Vin Garbutt, De Temps Antan, Grannys Attic and Les Barker,

As it has for all the previous festivals, Otley lies in picturesque Wharfedale on the A660 six miles from Ilkley and ten from Leeds(Menston Railway Station 1 mile {but it seems more if you walk}). The town is well equipped with shops, restaurants, take-aways and supermarkets as well as the Friday/Saturday market.

Sponsored by Black Sheep Brewery.
