Oliver has been singing blues, folk and soul, electric and acoustic, in fact all styles of music for the last 25 years.
Recently described as “The nearest singer to Tom Waits that we have,” by Blues in Britain magazine, Oliver sings with Mumbo-Jumbo a close harmony eclectic piano-led trio playing widely on the blues festival and increasingly folk circuit. the new acoustic format give him the space and time to open up a voice that has a new timbre round every corner.
He has also been Chair of the Organising Committee of Upton Blues Festival in Worcestershire (Festival of the Year in the British Blues Awards 2015). A free 'in the streets' festival attracting around 20k people the festival is a Registered Charity and completely self funded.
Oliver also leads Jigsaw Community Festivals - a not-for-profit organisation - with a track record of supplying small festivals to rural pubs, sports clubs, community centres, craft centres etc, bringing nationally acclaimed music to smaller venues in a friendly, happy, low cost festival format.
